The TRTA component 2 implemented by UNIDO was aimed at strengthening metrology, standardization, testing and quality (MSTQ) infrastructure in Pakistan through capacity development of MSTQ institutions and fostering the national conformity assessment and accreditation service providers to achieve international accreditation. The interventions of this TRTA component of the programme particularly focused on conduct of activities concerned with:
- Baseline studies and analysis
- Metrology and calibration
- Standardization and certification
- CE marking
- Accreditation of testing laboratories
- Compliance in fisheries sector
